Volunteers Welcome |
|
Orchard Hill welcomes (from the community or family members) volunteers of all ages and talents to bring their special gifts to our Assisted Living residence. Some of the activities that would be enjoyable to our residents follow, but we are always open to new ideas and suggestions:
• Exercise programs, including yoga, meditation, Asian arts, Pilates etc;
• Lead a religious group: Rosary, biblical study or Shabbat services; |
|
|
• Assist in group activities: word games, Pictionary, board games;
• Assist staff with transportation to various outings;
• Assist with parties or special events;
• Lead a group: baking, cooking, artistry, crafts, gardening, walking groups;
• Become a resident visitor: spend some time visiting with our residents;
• Play an instrument;
• Assist in theatrical productions and skits;
• Assist in shopping trips;
All Orchard Hill volunteers must enjoy the companionship of people and particularly the elderly. Volunteers must be cheerful, kind, caring and organized. Privacy and confidentiality must be maintained at all times. Orchard Hill's staff will provide orientation and training to all qualified candidates. Orchard Hill's employment screening checks will be undertaken.
Volunteering at Orchard Hill promises to be a most enjoyable and rewarding activity for caring persons of all ages.
Please contact the Recreational Director at (978) 218-3019 or recdeptoh@comcast.net to obtain more information or to schedule an interview. We welcome you and look forward to meeting you! |
